Feature 601 is the north–south screen wall constructed in Phase B3.4B that completed the separation of the main room (Space 86) from the narrow western storage room (Space 158). It comprises a number of components, many of which have their own feature number:  two pillars (F.156, F.164)  at each end of the screen wall separating it from the two partition walls (F.160 and F.161), the plaster coating (F.155) that covers the horizontal plank-and-daub construction and seven wooden posts (large: F.614, F.608; small: F.609, F.611, F.615, F.616) that are dug into a shallow north-south longitudinal trench (F.797), and finally a clay step (F.793), that was incorporated into the screen wall.
